The Birth of the WooWoo
It was a fine evening in May 2025 when a cheerful bunch of tourists from Cologne, Germany, hopped into our taxi. They’d just enjoyed a few drinks at The Dunvegan (as one does), and let’s just say—spirits were high, both literally and figuratively.
As we rounded the corner by the majestic ruins of St Andrews Cathedral, they suddenly shouted, “WOO!” Not to be outdone by themselves, they let out another enthusiastic “WOO!” as we turned onto Abbey Walk.
And just like that, the WooWoo was born.
Now, it’s become tradition. If you ever find yourself in a car taking those famous two corners—Cathedral to Abbey—you must Woo. Twice. One for each bend.
It’s local law. (Okay, it’s not, but it should be.)
So go on—let your inner Woo out. The tourists of Cologne would be proud.
